Buyer Evaluations

I bought this as sort of a starter kit, and whilst it assists to give you an concept of some valuable things to put together, it definitely falls short in delivering a few of them. What I located was that it had the cheapest probable versions of almost everything it was supplying. Right after acquiring this and seeking what was in it, I quite considerably started from scratch with a new bag (the 1 that came with the kit has a single stitch that was already failing when I first opened it with a three-inch tear by the zipper).
For ~$40, you get a really good starter kit, even though:
Emergency food bars
Water
Emergency Blankets
Very simple initially help kit
Light sticks
Dust masks
Nitrile gloves
Whistle
Ponchos
Tissue
My complications are as follows:
The backpack was falling apart from the get-go.
The first help kit was as well basic to be pretty helpful (it really is the sort that you may possibly toss in your back pocket for day-to-day carry).
The emergency blankets are pretty typical and low cost to acquire.
The 12-hour light sticks are quickly and cheaply upgraded to the 200hr LED glow sticks for $5 per three-pack at Home Depot.
Dust masks can be had at the dollar store.
Gloves are actually low-priced (the ones that came in my kit had been replaced right away as they had been just too low cost to rely on).
The whistle is just a whistle.
Ponchos are quite standard and cheap to buy.
Tissue could be replaced with a ziplock bag of tissues and be just as effective.
If you're looking to build a low-cost emergency kit, look at the individual contents of this and decide what you will need. If I were ever to rely on this, I would be a bit afraid. That said, after purchasing this I had a lot of entertaining rebuilding it with an "I can get much better" attitude and ended up spending quite a bit even more buying "better" versions of its contents and filling some gaps. $40 is not too poor a price tag to get at least component way there, but I cannot see why they even bothered with such a low quality backpack to hold it all, as I'm quite sure I use higher top quality grocery bags.

This kit has pretty much almost everything you want for an emergency. It is compact, and effortless to take with you. I only necessary to add an emergency radio, flashlight and some batteries. It is a time saver also. It is much easier than trying to collect all the items that are included in it. A real bargain!
